Lake Superior Art Gallery had the privilege of hosting the Tourism Thunder Bay FAM tour. The people taking part in the stop at the Lake Superior Art Gallery were welcomed by Charla Robinson, President of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, Jim Hupka, BIA Chair, and Brian Phillips of VictoriaVille Centre.

A group of local merchants were on hand to tell the visitors about the products and service they offer; Silhouette Boutique, PARO, Ephesians Designs, Amos & Andes, Blue Door Bistro, Crystal Beach Variety and Restaurant.

  The 15th Annual Thunder Bay Blues Fest July 8, 9 and 10th  2016 in Marina Park on the shores of Lake Superior.

  The Gate opens at 4pm on Friday July 3, and at 11:30am on both Saturday July 4, and Sunday July 5.   The gate closes at 9:30 pm each night.

It’s back! Fort William Historical Park’s amphitheatre will rock once again as it hosts Fort Fest; a community music festival taking place July 15 & 16. Lee Radzak is a modern day lighthouse keeper as he is the Historic Site Manager for Split Rock Lighthouse and he will be the guest speaker for an upcoming dinner and dance hosted by the Thunder Bay, Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior group (CLLS).

Lighthouses embody the history and spirit of our region.  Now you can be part of preserving these guardians of our marine culture and maintaining them for future generations by attending the upcoming fundraising dinner.

Take the  1450 miles (2,300 km,) tour around Lake Superior. The Lake Superior Circle Tour hugs shoreline in many areas. "Lake Superior Circle Tour is the longest of the scenic drives in that completely circles Lake Superior through Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

NAME: The first French explorers approaching the great inland sea by way of the Ottawa River and Lake Huron referred to their discovery as le lac superieur. Properly translated, the expression means "Upper Lake," that is, the lake above Lake Huron. Kitchi-gummi, a Chippewa Indian translation, signifies Great-water or Great-lake. A Jesuit name, Lac Tracy, was never officially adopted.

The Lake Superior Circle Tour in northern Wisconsin (highway 13), loops around Lake Superior state highways in the US states of Michigan, Minnesota (highway 61) and Wisconsin and provincial highways in the Canadian province of Ontario (highway 17).
